The exhibition transports visitors to the year 2060, into a world where the consequences of 3°C vs 1,5°C global warming are reflected on the lunch plate and aims to provoke thoughts about the future food system and how it will be affected based on how we handle the climate crisis today. The signage includes a portal for entering the exhibition, exhibition signs, ceiling signs above the lunch table displaying degrees of global warming, menus, scenario decals, and an interactive DoTank with action notes. The signage is made from rigid paperboard (Swedboard), and cut into puzzle pieces, to make it lightweight, easy to transport, and install in different exhibition spaces. The project is initiated by Beteendelabbet and is a collaboration with the innovation platform Proteinrevolutionen, the innovation platform Mission Matmiljö (represented by WWF Sweden), The city of Samsen Kit is a theme box and tool to help the members to identify opportunities for professional and personal development, and through self-leadership and coaching achieve an increased quality of life. The opportunities can range from issues with relationships, personal health, stress management and career challenges, to smaller things like time management and daily habits. The kit consists of a box in stainless steel with a cover card that changes each season, instructions, die-cut theme cards and theme note cards to write on, that can be re-used or re-filled when needed. The work included developing the visual concept, designing the physical stop, signage, printed communication materials, as well as digital and motion materials. In January 2025, the future was explored together with students and educators from Hertsöskolan on Hertsön in Luleå. Through a behavior-driven design process, where students’ direct participation provided valuable insights and ideas, a prototype was developed that allowed the future scenario to be experienced and tested in practice. The School Stop also proved capable of functioning as an educational environment—a classroom extension—where students begin and end their days together with a teacher. The hope is that the School Stop, as a mobility solution, will challenge the prevailing car norm and inspire more students toward active mobility. With the insights and experiences generated by the project, Luleå Municipality aims to develop strategies to strengthen children’s school routes and promote a car-free city center even after the project concludes.
